Köböis an agro-ecológic farm, where the human and the nature cohabits, producing alternatingly without the irrational use of agriculture chemists (70% organic) at the same time giving place and food to the wild life.

At Köbö we count with more than 15 different cultivations, which supply about 80% of the visitors and the family of the property consume , we have beans, rice, banana plants (7 varieties), vegetables (celery, cilantro, chili, tomato, etc.) tropical fruits as pineapple, papaya, and great variety of tubers, we also have a great representation of our special cultivation " The Cocoa". By a journey trough the plantation, you can enjoy different varieties of this exciting cultivation, its handmade, the historical cultural and technical value of cocoa, the elaboration of CHOCOLATE can be appreciated as well. The visitor always will enjoy the experience of savoring a delicious drink of chocolate from our property

At Köböfarm the opportunity to appreciate traditional forms of upbringing of domestic animals cannot lack, you will see animals such as, pigs, hens, quails, and the cows for the milk for the property consumption and cheese elaboration.

The wild life is a important component inside our property, we fight to cohabit in harmony with the environment, even sharing part of the production of our cultivations.

We also have a private reservation of plain forest, where gigantic trees stand out, mammals ( squirrel monkeys and white face monkeys), great variety of birds, amphibians and reptiles cohabit with us. We also have dedicated some areas for the natural regeneration of the forest.

Our Earth Wealth Tour

It consists on a journey for 2 to 3 hours trough the productive sections of the Köböfarm property, a walk trough the reservation path and closing with a delicious lunch.

During the journey we will give an interpretation of the history, handling and uses of different cultivations, also of the surrounding forest flora and fauna, it includes the cocoa plantations and its process show.

We offer the visitors the opportunity to get integrated to cohabit with us the experience of knowing, learns and to carry out different works characteristic of the property, such as:

This tour includes a journey among the diferent activities of the farm, starting in the private reserve that comprehends a plains footpath (suitable for third age persons), for the interpretation of the wide variety of flora and fauna of the place. The journey continues by the organic cacao plantations, where is given a ample explanation of this wondeful cultivation and its process, which is converted to chocolate, and you can taste it while watching its traditional preparation held in the farm. Then we continue to the experimental agricultural fields with a detailed explanation of the work that we made about the investigation with plants for the vermin control and diseases.
