The tour begin in Puerto Jimenez, early in the morning we take a 4WD taxi to Carate, the transfer takes about 2 hours.

Once in Carte real adventure begins, we are in the main entrance to Corcovado National Park. 

There are 3 kilometers of distance between Carate and the ranger station (La Leona). The hike take almost 1 hour, going slow,  enjoying the amazing beach and the paradise surrounding.  At La Leona Ranger Station, we register our visit and we are ready to go into Corcovado.

From  the ranger station we take the trail to Madrigal river,  once there we follow the river way, the Madrigal river is visited by a lot of animal, birds and insects, to drink water, that’s why, is a great place to see the wild life.

In the hearth  of the jungle we take our lunch.  

Then we walk back to Carate, where the taxi is waiting to take us back to Puerto Jimenez.

The tour take approx. 10 hours.

The hike is 16 kilometers approximately.
